Bredesen Bunker led to Bredesen's Watergate

Speculation among some is that opponents of the Bredesen Bunker--the lavish multi-million dollar underground dance hall pushed by Bredesen and paid for by your tax dollars--may be among the victims of the illegal background checks. After all, one of the chief critics was Oak Hill City Manger, Dr. Bill Kraus, who was attacked through the media based upon records of a former job in California. Were other opponents of the Bredesen Bunker also victimized? We won't know for sure until Bredesen releases the names.

Truman Bean has the word:

Just a Nosy officer gone wild as Governor Bredesen claims OR more nefarious Democratic hard-ball politics against those that fought Bredesen's Bunker (Ralph Bristol opined this morning).

I am not sure, but the cozy relationship that existed between Deputy Shirley and the former Deputy Governor Cooley is just too coincidental NOT to warrant an outside investigation.
